Instead of simple tent accommodations, exclusive natural stone cottages await you at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, each suitable for 2-4 people, depending on size. Each cottage has a separate bedroom with large mullioned windows overlooking the greenery and an inviting living area with a fireplace. A ground-level shower awaits you in the bathroom. Rustic features like wood-beamed ceilings and volcanic stone design create a quaint, feel-good atmosphere. On the private terrace overlooking the forest or mountains, you can spend relaxing hours between safari activities or keep an eye out for local wildlife.

Culinary

Meals are served three times a day in the lodge's beautiful main house with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic mountain views. If you wish, you can also have your lunch or dinner in the privacy of your own cottage. Whether dining together by the crackling fireplace or enjoying afternoon tea in the lounge with comfortable sofas and armchairs, the lodge's fine cuisine is prepared exclusively from fresh, local ingredients. Activities

In addition to extended walks or visits to the nearby village of Nkuringo, the focus at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is on guided gorilla tracking tours. To ensure that the rare mountain gorillas are not disturbed too much in their daily lives, the exploration tours are limited to a duration of 60 minutes per day and a maximum of 8 participants per tour. Other wildlife living here includes chimpanzees, another seven primate species, about 560 bird species and various nocturnal mammals such as civets and genet cats. Keep your eyes open - there is much to discover. After the safari program, you can indulge in a soothing massage at the lodge and gather fresh energy for new adventures.

Location

Safari fever in the middle of Uganda's dense rainforest - not for nothing is Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is one of the most exclusive safari accommodations in Africa. With its ideal location in the southwest of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, whose tropical rainforest has existed since the last ice age, it offers unique opportunities for gorilla tracking. In addition to the gorilla population, which is accustomed to humans, the park is also home to some 90 species of mammals, including 10 species of monkeys and other wildlife such as elephants, antelopes and exotic birds. The park is home to about half of all living mountain gorillas, highlighting the importance of this pristine natural paradise. From Kampala, you will reach the lodge within a 10 to 12-hour drive.
